The Grace of Royalty

I’ve mentioned that one of the ways we know that the divine loves us is that the spirit meets us wherever we are—not where we expect to be met, not where we want to be met, not where we think we are, but wherever we are when they come to us. The spirit sees where we are, and understands how to reach us which will give us the best possible chance of listening, understanding, and learning.

The mind and ego, of course, are often displeased by the way the message is delivered and the message itself, but that’s not really a problem so much as it is background noise. You can tell what you’re listening with by how emotional you’re feeling about it (and how you nitpick the message and/or delivery instead of engaging the meaning.)

It is that capacity to see where someone is and to meet them there which characterizes power, and to some degree royalty, though not everything or everyone who has that capacity intends you well. We call it grace when we see it in others: the ability to simply be wherever someone is, to meet them in that place.

Along with that ability to be graceful is another, related characteristic of royalty: royalty can see not just where you are, but what needs to be done for your elevation, and most importantly, royalty is willing to do what they see is necessary. The commitment to do what is necessary is what makes kings and queens.

If the person you follow cares more about their enrichment than they do your elevation, no matter what their title, they are not royalty.
